Young Voices

On Monday 27th January 2025, a selection of our pupils made the long journey to Sheffield Arena to perform in the Young Voice Choir 2025. The children were enthusiastic and belted out the notes of each and every song with determination and passion. We were proud of their behaviour and musical performances at the event.

Children sang alongside: MC Grammar- Multi-award-winning teacher turned rapper and viral social media sensation, Jacob Mitchell, aka MC Grammar, has over 14 years of teaching experience. Despite leaving school with 1 GCSE, he discovered his passion for teaching and went on to win both the National Teacher of the Year Award and the London Teacher of the Year Award. Tommy Blaize - As lead singer of the BBC Strictly Come Dancing band for 20 incredible years, Tommy Blaize has helped create some of the most memorable TV moments of recent times. Souparnika Nair- affectionately known as ‘Sou’ is a 14-year-old singer who has earned fantastic reviews from music lovers across the globe with her exceptional depth, maturity and pitch-perfect vocal talent that simply shines ahead of her young age. She rose to popularity after her show stopping audition on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent 2020 at the age of 10.

It was a pleasure to see our children shine on the night, we could see the excitement and enjoyment on their faces. A massive thank you to Mrs Hartley, Miss Wallace and Mrs Whitehead for giving up their time running the Young Voices rehearsals on a Monday and for taking the children to take part in an amazing concert we hope they will all remember for many years to come.
